Anyone know what is inside of these. People claim they are so great.
Looks like it would be easy to make one.

Apparently there is nothing more than a piece of wire inside them.

Here is a review: http://blastmagazine.com/the-magazine/technology/2009/05/is-a-snoop-antenna-any-good/

haha yes I love the only comment.

I also like how he says that the stock antennas are far from professional...

uhhh what is professional last time I checked pros use a hunk of wire like the "crap antennas"

this guys review is shit. The antenna is a wire just like if you shrink the stock antenna down as small as it goes ...guess what it works just as good as this professional PVC!

Seriously if you think you need to buy a new antenna because your opinion of the "stock antenna is crap" then stroke the ego of someone by paying them for PVC and wire.

get an out door antenna is the #1 factor in cool.

/rant at the reviewer

as for making your own... just get some BNC cable and run the stock antenna or anything out the window.

If you want to cut down on noise... cut the antenna to the band that your listening to.

if your far far away and need db go directional.

Media professional using this type of antenna ??? It looks like a pipe bomb. I can just see the USSS allowing some jerk reporter from Fox with this type of "bomb-antenna" pass the media line.

You could stuff a rubber duck in a piece of PVC pipe with a bulkhead BNC adapter and probably get the same performance.

That antenna does look sketchy enough to attract unwanted attention...
