So what's the coolest "old school" scanner out there???

I still have a Pro-94 kicking around that I use for it's discriminator tap, but nothing else. That radio couldn't be "cool" even if it was in a freezer.

I have a couple Rat Shack Pro-2001's

Agreed.... We have several 2006 receivers that we run at work. Other than the display light, these things have never let us down. No, it's not a Rohde & Schwarz monitor, but for $25 or so you can 't go wrong.

Updated roll call?

I currently divide my time between various places, actively running twin TRX-1 radios (one with me in my travels; 1 at home in Pierce County recording while I'm gone. Looking at getting either a third TRX-1 and a Unication G-4 (when the Phase-2 update rolls out, if ever), or maybe a Relm P800 to run in rx-only mode for Tacoma/Pierce County.

What sayeth you?

I have the same one... it works quite well. It needs a better antenna for VHF but the 800 Mhz Motorola stubby works great as a replacement for 700/800.

Anxiously waiting for the Phase 2 firmware...

I would agree. The VHF is no better than any other VHF pager on the market.

Present and accounted for.

And I could use a decent 800 radio.
