Hey, that's not a bad idea. I could solder them into connectors. Give the product a cool name like > The Micro Assault Antenna. Make many false claims about the specs..... 0-1200MHz, ultra (cool buzz word) high gain, commonly used in covert operations, etc. Isn't that how most antenna manufactures market products? I think $129.95 is a fair MSRP.

Powdercoat them black and call them Tactical Micro Assault Antennas.

Guaranteed success.

Now you're thinking..... We could also do sand color, for desert operations, etc. Who wants in on this grass roots start up... that is entirely based on $0.28 Uniden technology?

Absolutely... our modified version (The Tactical Micro Assault) is by far the best wide band tactical operations antenna available today, regardless of cost. I see that you live in Florida. We're currently offering a trailer park / senior citizen internet special. All of our T.M.A. antennas are only $49.95, with shipping included. Please specify connector type when ordering.

   Anyone actually put this thing on a network analyzer and see where it "really" works :?: :?: :?:

Shoulda stuck a tape measure in the photo

Out of what material is the wire :?: Is it actually plated with something that will actually take solder :?:

I am guessing these either are "overstock" and "test marketed"...

But seriously... I do have some real, genuine, commercial duty
"he-man" antennas... Not your typical "hobbyist" antennas...
The mounting hardware if bought new can cost upwards of $100.00...

The math checks out:
.28 (price of ultra covert item)
4 (variable, number of months)
4 (number of purchases)

28(decimal removed for math purposes)x4=112+4=116

116.

This too has been solved.

Just opened up my package today. I did not realize the antenna was so tiny. Bout 1.5in in length.

Anyway, I did a bit of research and it's used in this phone:
