Location: South King County or the beach, usually one or the other.
When rebanding does take place I understand my BC245xlt won't be able to be used for monitoring police, fire, etc.
I would welcome any suggestions you might have for a replacement scanner in somewhat the same price range. Also, any suggestions as to what features I should be looking for.

The current follow-on model for the BC245 is the BC246T. It will take some getting used to, but you'll love the extra features. Currently going for a little over $210 new...
