My work in Olympia uses an xpr 3500 at work which has two channels. I have tried to use my uniden trunktracker iv to monitor it. However I only can pick it up when I scan it as a conventional freq (and therefore no second channel). I have tried to scan with all the possible Motorola options but none work. Ideas?

the Motorola XPR3500 usings MotoTRBO which is what motorola calls DMR. A normal off the shelf scanner won't pick up DMR, and it's not really what I would call easy to use a scanner to do so.
You would need to do a discriminator tap and then use that and your computer with a program called DSD+ to decode the stream.

Thanks. That makes me feel better; I was starting to doubt my scanning ability.
