For about the past month there has been an issue with NOAA Weather Radio KHB60 162.550 on Cougar Mt.
Lots of buzzing, scratchy popping noises etc.

The Techs have spent a lot of time working on it, with the transmitter (and the 416.375 Mhz link) shut down on multiple days.

This evening it actually sounds pretty decent.

Last night just prior to midnight and with KHB60 still off, I was able to hear KIH36 Neah Bay on the same freq.
It was weak and fading in and out but strong enough to ID.

I assume the daytime heating and clouds/rain that moved thru later in the evening had a major role in that unusual propogation.
