I am still a bit new to the hobby. What is the advantage of a non-trunking wide band reciever. What can you hear on a full coverage radio from aor or icom from 50 mhz to up to 2ghz? I am most interested in what is heard in the 900-1300 mhz and lower bands not covered on most scanners. My scanner obviously has breaks between frequency coverage. (895xlt) I was thinking about getting the Pro2096 but that really isn't much different in frequency coverage. It still has limited frequency coverage and I suppose the apco isn't really necessary yet. So what do you hear on 1250 MHZ??
