I tried to install some of the updated p500 v-scanner files from our wiki page. When I try to install them on my PRO-106
the program says I have an older version of WIN500 and that these updated p500 files will not install until I do an upgrade to Version 2.02 of WIN500 since they were created with Version 2.02 of WIN500.

I have Version 1.95 of WIN500 now.

I would like to upgrade to Version 2.02 of WIN500 so I can install these updated p500 files in my PRO-106.

I have downloaded Version 2.02 of WIN500 but how do I install it?

I unzipped the files from Version 2.02.

Do I drag and drop the new files on top of the old files?

Do I have to do this with all the files or just some of them?

Looking at the size of some of the files some are different than the other version.

I don't want to screw up the stuff I have programmed into the PRO-106. Including my V-scanner files which are different than those factory installed files. Also my v-scanner config that I custom made or all the stuff programmed into the main memory.

Will installing these new files over the old files cause me to loose the programming I now have in the PO-106?

The "help" file on the WIN500 page is worthless.

Any help would be appreciated. :D

There is no installer. Once you extract the new version to a folder somewhere, you can delete the old folder if you want. New version shouldn't mess up anything in the scanner, but if you're paranoid, make a backup with the old version first.

Update:

I just downloaded the new version of WIN500 and did a sync to my scanner and it put all the stuff on the new version.

I was then able to install the latest updated p500 files from our wiki page.
