On Nov. 18, 2009 at about 3 AM -- a suspect stole a new Chevrolet Tahoe at gun point from the owner in Visalia, California. Within the hour - OnStar was able to locate the vehicle and the Visalia PD had a 10851 (Grand theft auto) suspect in custody and 10-15. The new Stolen Vehicle Slowdown feature prevented the armed suspect from going on a high speed chase.

I had OnStar call me one time ('05) when I was on light duty/desk.
Lakewood or Pierce co hooked 'em. But not the slow down thing.
They tracked via GPS. Good stuff.
