Add 467.2125 (D115) to the list. That's the Main Floor frequency at the Yakima Target. Looking at other Target Licenses with that same frequency, the other three frequencies could be 467.2375, 467.2625 and 467.2875 or 467.1875, 467.2625 and 467.2875. There's a third combination that looks like repeater pairs (+5 mhz) out of a California store but the ULS doesn't list them as a repeater.

Today was another productive frequency hunting day. Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Office Max, Office Depot and Big R are all under my belt now including some others that I don't find licenses for that I heard. I'm suprised that a lot of people are using DPL's. No wonder I couldn't find the regular PL tones. I'll have to invest in a 400mhz radio now to put them all in. But my money tree died so maybe next year.....

Office Depot 467.9000 (D131)
Costco Wholesale 467.8500 (unkown PL or DPL for that matter, I need to go back there)
Big R Farm and Ranch 467.9000 (71.9)
Home Depot 467.7625 (D065)
Stein's Ace Hardware 464.5500 (67.0)
Wal-Mart 154.600 (250.3)
Office Max 464.550 (82.5)
Target Main Floor 467.2125 (D115)

I also heard a lot of traffic on 467.850 (D251), 467.925 (D506), 464.050 (D156). They could have been Best Buy or any store in the mall. 467.850 intrigues me the most because she kept asking for someone to come up to the service counter. Where I was the only service counter that I could think of was for Shopko and all of their licenses are expired and .850 was never licensed to them at all anywhere.

I noticed that a Target LP guy today was packing a CLS 1410. Far from a hot little thing with the radio bouncing around on her back pocket he was.....moving on.....Judging by how the FCC has freq's grouped for a Target license (groups of 4), these I consider are possible groups of freq's for Target amongst many others I'm sure. I did a ULS search for "Target" and "467.2125" and got these groupings:

467.1875
467.2125
467.2625
467.2875

467.2125
467.2375
467.2625
467.2875

462.2125
462.2375
462.2625
462.2875
463.9125
467.2125
467.2375
467.2625
467.2875

My money is on the second group for the Yakima Target store. Any thoughts on my findings anyone?

Here's some to add to the list; all at Northgate Mall:

467.7500 (D115) Target, Channel 1 (Main)
467.7750 (D072) Target, Channel 2 (Backroom)
467.9250 (67.0) Target, Channel 3
467.9000 (D205) Target, Channel 4

3 and 4 don't have names, but if you're familiar with the various Valleycom PD Admin channels, then you know exactly what they're for. They're sort of like talk around channels, except their radios are simplex. So think of it as a replacement for phones; instead of "call me at 1295" it's "switch to channel 4".

467.9250 (D506) Best Buy

461.2000 (D432) Mall Security
464.7750 (D731) Housekeeping; possibly other users

451.7875 (136.5) The Bon/Macy's. Not 100% sure it was Macy's, but they're licensed on this frequency and it sounded like it could have been them.

460.9125 (146.2) Nordstrom's Loss Prevention. Again, not 100% sure it was Nordstroms, but it was definitely loss prevention ops, and this matches what's in the DB.

467.8500 (D251) I have no clue.

Notice that Target's Channel 3 is the same as Best Buy's "statewide" (probably national) channel.

Also a close call hit, unidentified user, possibly American Eagle, 464.5500 (74.4)

Turns out 467.925 is a pretty common frequency for businesses; it's also known as "Blue Star". If you pick it up with a DPL of 743, you're probably hearing Victoria's Secret. Now that has got to be interesting to listen to!

Added it all to the database here (and my stuff too). See it here.

Try using the frequencies I found. But put Channel 3 in as CT Search. At this time of year you should have no problem hearing lots of traffic. I have a feeling they normally use a DPL on Channel 3, just like the others, but because Best Buy is two floors down from Target (In Northgate they're all stacked; Best Buy in the basement, Joe's on 1, Target on 2/3) so they probably had interference with them at one point.

I find it pretty interesting that 3 Best Buys use the exact same frequency and tone. Actually you never confirmed that you were hearing Best Buy on that frequency, but I know I was when I picked it up in Northgate and Federal Way.

Taco-

I'll try that group....Do you find it most effective while being in the store vs. sitting safetly in your vehicle in the parking lot?

One thing I also noticed with SignalStalker is in the back of the Target Store, I didn't pick up anything, but as soon as I hit midway-towards the front of the store, 467.2125 became very active and my frustrations slowly went away....

I've found a spot in a parking lot where I am surrounded by businesses using radios. My notes are scribbles because I'm writing so fast. Everything and everyone is talking on very similar frequencies (.925 bleeds over onto .900) Is there a way to tell what business is using what frequency based on their PL/DPL tones? (Does BestBuy always use the same tone for all of their stores? and likewise for other stores?)

In store works best while you're still figuring out who's who, but I was able to listen outisde the store, but the range isn't very far. The waves don't travel very far outside of cement buildings; in fact, they do a great job of keeping the signals inside.

No; usually. The FCC assigns the frequencies (for the businesses that actually choose to license their radios) but it's up to the user what tones, if any, they choose to use. It's not uncommon for big box stores to share the same frequencies and tones among all stores; that way the main office just has to program 5,000 radios the same way and send 50 to each store.

This is the only time I can recall that I have ever wanted to to actually be a speaker mic.
