You might hear some of it on our Los Angeles audio feed. The on-scene simplex should come in ok as his rental house is about 3 miles south of here and their family home is 1 mile west of here.

Whatever the case, I'm sure children everywhere will sleep safer tonight.

Rich,
Thank you for the feed. I have been listening and it is very clear.

Does LAPD use analog or digital and do you have to have a scanner with APCO 25 capabilities to listen to them there? Also are they on an 800mhz trunking system?

Again, thank you.

Wayne

P25 digital. They are not trunked. They have a pile of T-band (470-512mhz) repeaters. You need a digital scanner (Icom/Uniden/GRE/RatShack) to receive them.

I thought this was interesting... someone got a snapshot of the AMB's dispatch computer:

I am probably not the first one to think this but I think that MDC shot looks fake or hacked...I can understand the blurred out phone numbers but what’s up with the text in the darker background that says "50 year old male"...that is crooked and doesn't line up with the other text...

Looks to me like a sort of attempt to highlight the details, and blur the PII.

so two things, I wouldn't put it past any LA medical worker to snap the photo and sell it.

the LAT,LONG seem to miraculously be in the exact location of the house -I don't know how exact the systems are but I thought there was commonly room for error

Since someone thought it smart to highlight that section of text with a black box, that doesn't align with the text, I think you're seeing an optical illusion that makes the text itself look out of alignment. I think it's probably real. Faking that shot doesn't really do anything for anyone. It doesn't show any information that the media wasn't already broadcasting and the media knows that their demographic doesn't give a damn about what some cryptic aid car laptop says. The only people who would want to fake it would be someone from this type of community in a "hey hey check this out *snicker*" sort of way and I kind of even doubt that.

just heard a good one,

since MJ is 99% plastic they are going to melt him down into legos so kids can play with him for a change.

OOoooook. I gotta get in on this now...

Word has it that Michael Jackson is not to be buried nor cremated. He's going to be recycled into white plastic bags and continue to be dangerous to children.

I think you guys should cut him some slack. Michael Jackson touched people of all ages and crossed many boundaries...And had the court cases to prove it.
